Norwalk 1894 Flush Bolt
Large decorative flush bolt for a door made by Norwalk. Cir. 1894. It is made of cast bronze. It features a decorative round knob that slides up and down to activate the bolt. It has a floral design on it. The exterior is highly decorative in Eastlake style with floral and geometric elements. The bolt measures 9″h x 1 1/8″w. The area that mounts into the door measures 8″l x 1″w at the widest point.

Norwalk
Norwalk Lock Company began under the leadership of Ebenezer Hill in 1865. It was located in Norwalk, CT. They manufactured locks, keys, builders hardware and apple peelers. In 1864, after the purchase of a steam pump company, it became Norwalk Iron Works. The Segal Lock and Hardware Company acquired Norwalk in 1929.
