Sargent Winslow Door Plate
Door face plate. It is made of wrought steel with some remaining brass finish. Sargent & Co. “Winslow” design. It features rounded corners as well as multiple borders. Cir. 1927. The door plate measures 7 1/4″h x 2 3/8″w. There are some small areas of rust.

Sargent
Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
