Decorative Rim Lock Norwalk 3502

Decorative horizontal type rim lock made by Norwalk. Catalogue number 3502. Cir. 1880s-early 1900s. Box measures 4 1/2″l x 3 1/2″h. Marked Norwalk L Co.

Norwalk

Norwalk Lock Company began under the leadership of Ebenezer Hill in 1865. It was located in Norwalk, CT. They manufactured locks, keys, builders hardware and apple peelers.In 1864, after the purchase of a steam pump company, it became Norwalk Iron Works. The Segal Lock and Hardware Company acquired Norwalk in 1929.
