Chantrell Oval Glass Doorknob

Uniquely shaped oval glass doorknob with 12 facets that go into a flat face.  This creates a really pretty look from all angles. It has a brass wrapped neck. Made by Chantrell Hardware. Cir. 1928. The doorknob measures 2 5/8″l x 2″w. The glass has a very slight purple hue. The glass has a few very small “flea bite” nicks, but is in overall very good condition. It has a modern replacement set screw. The doorknob takes a standard sized threaded shaft. If you need a shaft please let us know. We can match one up for you.

Chantrell Hardware

Chantrell Hardware began in the 1880’s in Reading, Pennsylvania. Founded by John Chantrell, it began as Chantrell Hardware & Tool Company. They manufactured various tools and specialty hardware, but the main focus was building hardware. They dealt in both the US and foreign markets. It closed in 1939.
