ILCO Victory Key
Brass and steel key made by Independent Lock Company (ILCO). Made during the 1940’s during WWII. This key was made of half steel and half brass in an effort to conserve brass for the war effort. There is a small cut around the brass part so that it could be easily broken off and donated if needed. It is stamped with a V for Victory on both sides. On one side it also is marked with Independent Lock Co. Fitchburg, Mass. and the ILCO logo. On the reverse it has Made in U.S.A,Pat. no.1,901,531. The key measures 2 1/4″l.
