Corbin 1905 Rosette

Decorative cast brass door rosette made by Corbin. It features an Eastlake style design with a triangle as the focal point. A japanned background allows the design to stand out. Cir. 1885-1905. The rosette measures 2″ in diameter. It has 3 holes for attachment.

Note*- Antique rosettes will not cover a modern 2 1/4″ hardware hole.

Corbin

P&F Corbin was founded by brothers Philip and Frank Corbin in New Britain, CT. in 1851. Interestingly, Philip previously worked for the company that would become Russell and Erwin, which Corbin would merge with in 1902. It ran with a number of subsidiary companies in the 1900’s including Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., Corbin Screw Company and even a Corbin Motor Vehicle Corporation! Corbin is still in business today under ownership of Assa Abloy under the name Corbin Russwin.
