Reading Windsor Door Set- Drum Var.
Full matched door set with doorknobs, 2 face plates and mortise lock box in Reading “Windsor” pattern. This is an early variety of the Windsor pattern seen in the 1891 catalogue. The doorknobs have a unique smaller size and drum shape. Doorknobs, face plates and front of lock box are all bronze. One doorknob has a slight crush on the back, but functionality and look once in place is not affected.
Doorknobs measure 2 1/4″ diam. Face plates measure 5 1/4″h x 1 5/8″w. Box portion of lock box measures 3 1/2″h x 3″l x 1/2″d with front plate measuring 5 1/4″h x 7/8″w.
Doorknob shaft fits doors ranging from 1 1/8″-2 1/4″ thick. If a different sized shaft is needed please let us know. We may be able to swap out shafts.
All of our lock boxes are cleaned, oiled and tested for functionality. If you are needing a key for the lock box, one may be available. Please let us know if you are needing a key and we can check our stock.

Reading Hardware began in 1872 in Reading, Pennsylvania. It produced both basic and highly decorative builders hardware. Reading’s hardware was used in many notable buildings including the White House in Washington, D.C. The operation closed in 1950.
