Lockwood Franklin Doorknob
Steel doorknob made by Lockwood. Franklin design. Cir 1920s. It has small remnants of an original coppery finish in the center. It has some minor rust damage. We are happy to send additional photos if requested, but you should be able to get a good idea of the condition with the provided photos. The doorknob measures 2 1/4″ diam.

Lockwood
Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
