Lockwood St. Germain Cylinder Door Plate
Cast brass oversized door plate for exterior doors with a cylinder lock made by Lockwood. Cir. 1897-1914. Shaped at the top and bottom with a decorative border and wreath and ribbon designs. The door plate measures 12 3/8″l x 3 1/2″w. The distance between the doorknob hole and cylinder hole is 3 3/4″ center to center. It looks like the cylinder hole has been expanded just a bit, but I think most cylinder locks would still fit with little or no gap. The cylinder hole measures 1 1/2″diam at the largest area. The door plate is marked on the back 1931.
The door plate has a very dark patina.
