Taylor and Boggis Lorain Doorknobs
Pair of heavy cast iron doorknobs made by Taylor and Boggis in “Lorain” design. Cir. 1910. Doorknobs measure 2 1/4″ in diameter and are decorated on both sides.

Taylor & Boggis Foundry
Taylor & Boggis Foundry began in 1875 under the leadership of Harvey Taylor and Robert Boggis. It was located in Cleveland, Ohio. The foundry produced iron cast products and builders hardware. The company throughout its history survived throug a number of fires, causing it to relocate multipletimes between 1883 and 1945. In 1969, the company was purchased and consolidated under The Ohio Foundry Company. The company declared bancruptcy in 2012.
