Vintage Carved Gourd
Vintage hand carved decorative gourd. These were popular tourist items in South America, specifically Peru. It is one solid piece with the exterior carved in relief. You can still hear the seeds rattle around inside. This gourd is highly decorated with dancing figures, musicians and geometric designs. Some areas have been stained darker to make the decoration stand out even more. The gourd measures 5″diam x about 4″ high. A great size for a decorative statement piece.
