Reading Evona Door Plate Bronze
Wrought bronze door face plate made by Reading. Evona design. Cir. 1900-1911. The door plate is almost art nouveau in shaping with rounded corners. It measures 7 3/4″h x 2 1/2″w.
It has a dark, even patina, but being bronze could be polished up if desired.

Reading
Reading Hardware began in 1872 in Reading, Pennsylvania. It produced both basic and highly decorative builders hardware. Reading’s hardware was used in many notable buildings including the White House in Washington, D.C. The operation closed in 1950.
