Lockwood Drake Door Plate
Wrought steel art deco style door plate by Lockwood. Drake design. Cir. 1932. Very geometric with triangular forms. Brass finish with some rust/finish loss throughout. The plate measures 6 5/8″h x 1 7/8″w.

Lockwood
Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
