Sargent Arcadia Window Lift

Cast iron decorative window sash lift made by Sargent. Cir. 1888-1910.  Although not labeled as Arcadia in the catalogue, the triangle and flower design elements match the Arcadia door face plate. The window lift measures 1 5/8″w x 1 1/2″h.  It has approximately 1″ protrusion for the hold.

Sargent

Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
