Stanley Sweetheart Hoosier Hinges
A set of four Stanley Sweetheart offset hinges with chrome or nickel plate. This shape and style of hinge was most often used on Hoosier style cabinets. The shape is a butterfly style with two attachment holes on each part. The hinges measure 1 1/2″h x 1 1/2″w with a 1/4″ offset. The majority of the dark areas seem o be some type of patina. It can be removed with steel wool to reveal the chrome or nickel underneath. It is not plating loss. The hinges are marked on the back with the Stanley Sweetheart logo. I was unable to find these in a catalogue, so I am unsure of the date, although the Sweetheart branding was used between about 1919-1932.
Two of the hinges are a little tighter, two are a little looser. All have the full range of motion.
