Bennington
The Bennington name is derived from Bennington, Vermont, where Christopher Webber Fenton developed the method of swirling or speckling the brown glazes in 1849. True Bennington knobs are rare, but the term is often used to describe any enamel knob with a swirled or speckled brown glaze. This type of knob is also referred to as mineral due to its resemblance to marble.
