Antique Bishop & Babcock Barrel Tap

Antique bronze beer barrel tap made by The Bishop & Babcock Company of Cleveland, Ohio. It is made of solid cast bronze with a decorative early plastic or bakelite handle on the lever part. The front part measures 5″l  with a spout extending down 1 1/4″ at the front. It is marked The Bishop & Babcock Co Cleveland, O. The back end is threaded 3/4″diam outside and about 3/8″diam inside. It is secured with a nut. The pipe extends 2 1/2″ from the base. The base measures 2 3/4″diam.  There is a small locking screw on one side of the handle that moves smoothly. The securing nut moves smoothly and the lever handle works, but the inner workings have not been tested. The tap is in very good condition with a nice patina.
