Corbin DT 33 Skeleton Key

Skeleton key made by Corbin for use with door locks. Marked Corbin at the top on one side and DT 33 on the reverse. The key measures 2 7/8″l with a 3/4″l pin (inset). It has a uniquely shaped bit with notches on each side near the top and a two tiered notch at the bottom center. There is also a groove running across near the bottom on the left side. The bit measures 5/8″ high from the top of the pin.

There is some rust and wear but this should not affect the functionality.

Corbin

P&F Corbin was founded by brothers Philip and Frank Corbin in New Britain, CT. in 1851. Interestingly, Philip previously worked for the company that would become Russell and Erwin, which Corbin would merge with in 1902. It ran with a number of subsidiary companies in the 1900’s including Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., Corbin Screw Company and even a Corbin Motor Vehicle Corporation! Corbin is still in business today under ownership of Assa Abloy under the name Corbin Russwin.
