Kenton 1892 Door Set

Door set made by Kenton Lock, cir. 1892. The set consists of a bronze decorative doorknob set complete with adjustable shaft, 2 decorative bronze rosettes, a small decorative lock box with latch only, and a decorative bronze strike plate.

The doorknobs are highly decorated on top and bottom with an Eastlake style design of geometric and floral motifs. They measure 2 1/4″diam.  The shaft is adjustable to fit doors between 1 1/4″- 2 1/4″ thick measured with the rosettes. If you need a different size shaft, please let us know. We may be able to swap out.

The rosettes measure 1 7/8″daim.

The lock box measures 3 1/4″l x 1 3/4″h x 5/8″thick. The front plate measures 3 1/4″l x 7/8″w. It has just a latch, no deadbolt. Our lock boxes are all cleaned, oiled and fully tested for functionality.

The strike plate measures 3 1/4″l x 7/8″w excluding the tab.

Kenton Lock

The Kenton Lock Manufacturing Co. began in 1890 in Kenton, Ohio. Later it became the Kenton Hardware Company and produced a variety of cast iron goods including stoves, banks and toys. It at one point was one of the largest cast iron toy manufacturers in the world.
