Reading Columbian Doorknob
Heavy cast bronze decorative doorknob by Reading. Columbian design. Cir. 1896-1911. Highly detailed with decoration along the top and incised lines along the center ridge. Excellent patina, they used a lot of copper content in this bronze which gives it a rich brown color. Some green oxidation in the crevices which could be polished out, but it makes the decoration stand out nicely. The doorknob measures 2 1/4″ in diameter.
