Sargent 1888 Exterior Doorknob Set
Exterior decorative doorknob set made by Sargent. Cir. 1888. This design was one of those early designs that did not have a specific name. It came in both a normal round and a drum shaped version. This set is made of bronze and features tow different sized highly decorated drum shaped knobs in an Eastlake style. The decoration extends to the underside of the knobs. One knob measures the standard 2 1/4″diam. The other, exterior knob is oversized, measuring 2 1/2″diam. The exterior knob has a slight depression on the backside. This will not affect functionality and is unnoticeable once installed.
The doorknob shaft can range from 1 3/4″-2 3/4″ (measured without plates). If a different sized shaft is needed, please let us know. We may be able to change out.
This Sargent 1888 Exterior Doorknob Set is an antique item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. We make every effort to clean as much paint, dirt and rust off of items while still leaving as much of the original patina as possible. Photos shown are of actual item you will receive.
This antique doorknob set is shippable.
