Sargent Alby Pocket Door Face Plate
Art nouveau style flush mount pocket door plate made by Sargent. Alby Design. Cir. 1901. It features amorphous shaping at the top and bottom. Similar designs were made by many companies, but Alby seems to be the most common version. They all have slight variations in the shaping, so be careful when attempting to match. The door plate is made of wrought brass with a nice even brown patina. It has a keyhole cutout in the middle. The plate measures 7 1/4″h x 2 3/8″w. The recessed part that would need to be cut out of the door measures 3″h x 1 3/8″w.
