Sargent Skeleton Key 17
Skeleton key for use with doors made by Sargent. Marked Sargent 17 on the top of one side. The key measures 2 3/4″l with a 3/4″ long pin (insert). The bit has notches on each side very close to the bottom and a notch at the bottom center. The bit measures 1.56mm high from the top.
Some rust pitting, but this should not affect functionality.

Sargent
Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
