Schroder Monogrammed Doorknob
Single doorknob by J. B. Schroder with a CF monogram. What the monogram signifies is unsure, however the knob was found in Ohio, and Schroder being a Cincinnati based company, it is likely from a building in Ohio. Schroder was active from the 1850s until 1940, this is likely an earlier piece. Heavy, solid metal knob with what looks like the remnants of a Bower-Barff finish. Knob measures 2 1/4″ in diameter and has traditional Schroder attachment where a slotted spindle is used with a U shaped filler.
