Description

Taylor & Boggis Clyde Door Plate Bronze

Wrought bronze door plate. Oval bead pattern. This type of design was made by most manufacturers in both wrought and cast metal versions from the early 1900s until about the 1940’s. This example most closely resembles Taylor & Boggis’ Clyde design. Cir. 1910. It has an outside border and a textured background under the beaded area. The door plate measures 7″l x 2 1/2″w.  It measures 2 1/4″ wide at the doorknob level, so could possibly cover a modern hardware hole.

Somewhat variable patina, but being bronze it could be polished up if desired.
