Vintage Philmont Patch
1950’s era Philmont Boy Scout Ranch patch. It features an orange background with mountains and a river in the center with a large P. Around the outside it says Philmont Scout Ranch. The patch measures 2″diam. The edges are a little ragged- it may have been attached to something at one point, but it is in overall good condition.
A neat piece of Scouting history. Philmont Scout Ranch was founded in 1938 as Philturn Rocky Mountain Scout Ranch. The name was changed to Philmont in 1941.
