WWII German Italian Summit Flag

A rare and unique piece from a controversial part of world history. A silk flag/handkerchief featuring the Nazi flag and the Italian flag together. Made during WWII,  these were produced to commemorate one of two visits that Mussolini made to Germany to visit Adolph Hitler. They were sold as souvenirs for supporters to wave or display during the visit and commemorated the alliance between Nazi Germany and fascist Italy under Mussolini. This particular flag came from the estate of an American WWII veteran who served in Europe and was likely taken as a war prize from a German soldier. The flag measures 12in x 13in. It has some creasing which could probably be relaxed out. It is currently being stored flat to help this. It is in overall very good condition with excellent color. There is a single line of what could be a snag running the length of the flag, but its consistency suggests a manufacture flaw versus damage. A museum quality piece which would look quite striking framed.
