Lockwood Fleur De Lis Door Plate

Decorative door plate made by Lockwood. Fluer De Lis design. Cir. 1897. The door plate is made of wrought bronze. It is shaped and features fleur de lis designs at the top and bottom.  The door plate measures 7 1/2″l x 2 1/4″w.

The door plate has a nice dark patina. There are some very small scratches and dings and indications that it was slightly bent, but it sits flat once secured.

We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. Lockwood

Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
