Norwalk 1890 Door Plate
Cast bronze door plate made by Norwalk. Cir. 1890. Highly decorative Eastlake style with a circle border, flower motifs and a textured background. The door plate has a swinging keyhole cover that still functions. The plate measures 6″h x 2″w.

Norwalk
Norwalk Lock Company began under the leadership of Ebenezer Hill in 1865. It was located in Norwalk, CT. They manufactured locks, keys, builders hardware and apple peelers. In 1864, after the purchase of a steam pump company, it became Norwalk Iron Works. The Segal Lock and Hardware Company acquired Norwalk in 1929.
