Reading Coruna Cylinder Door Plate

Decorative exterior door face plate for use with a cylinder lock made by Reading. Coruna design. Cir. 1931. It is made of nickel plated cast bronze. It features basic shaping with a double border and a textured background. The door plate measures 9″h x 2 3/4″w. The center to center distance between the doorknob hole and the cylinder lock hole is 2 1/2″. The door plate is marked on the back with the Reading logo and  1395.

Reading

Reading Hardware began in 1872 in Reading, Pennsylvania. It produced both basic and highly decorative builders hardware. Reading’s hardware was used in many notable buildings including the White House in Washington, D.C. The operation closed in 1950.
