Sargent Skeleton Key 7

Skeleton key for use with doors made by Sargent. Marked Sargent  on the top on one side with a 7 below. The key measures 2 5/8″l with a 5/8″ long pin (insert). The bit has a notch at the bottom middle and one on each side near the middle. The right side has a groove running across near the top. The bit measures 5/8″h from the top of the pin.

Sargent

Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
