Sargent Haven Decorative Doorknob
Decorative steel doorknob with a nice bronze finish- it is probably plated. Sargent’s Haven design. Cir. 1910. It features a raised round center with a threefold symmetrical design surrounding the center A few minor scratches and an area of wear in the center, but it presents quite nicely. The knob measures 2 1/4″ diam. The base takes a standard sized square shaft.

Sargent
Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
