Reading 1885 Bin Pull

Cast iron decorative bin pull made by Reading. Cir. 1885. Eastlake style with a vine/leaf motif. The handle measures 4 1/8″l 1 1/2″h. It has a 3 1/2″ center to center distance for the mounting screws. No manufacturers markings.

Reading Hardware began in 1872 in Reading, Pennsylvania. It produced both basic and highly decorative builders hardware. Reading’s hardware was used in many notable buildings including the White House in Washington, D.C. The operation closed in 1950.
